BillQuick 2006
has over 100 new features and many
"behind-the-scene" improvements. In addition
to the standard database engine, BillQuick
2006 also supports MSDE, Microsoft SQL 2005,
2000, and Microsoft SQL 2005 Express.
BillQuick Enterprise and BillQuick Pro now
support Integrated Windows Authentication.
The reports team has added over 100 new
reports and Invoice templates. BillQuick
2006 includes over 350 reports and 85
Invoices templates.

New Dashboard Navigators
– Company, Management, Time & Expense, and
Billing. Action and data flows + focused,
user-specific dashboard information like
month by month cash flow, billings, unbilled
time, job costing, and important Top 10’s
charts. Also, enhanced time and expense
approval workflow let you know when entries
await approval for billing.

BillQuick Messaging
– Send a message to one or a group of users
within the BillQuick network, enhancing and
accelerating communication. Choose the
trigger action for message delivery. For
example, if you want to deliver a message to
your office manager to include a copy of
expense receipts when your client is
invoiced, simply send an event-related
message in BillQuick 2006. It is not an
email or an Instant Message, but a data
message saved in your company database until
the event occurs.

Agent Alert
- Agent 2006 (add-on module) lets you
monitor changes in any field or combination
of fields, then notify yourself, staff,
clients and/or consultants via new BillQuick
Message, email, or SMS. Pre-defined alerts
are included, plus templates that let you
choose data to monitor, trigger, and
notification method. For projects, monitor
amount spent, status, percent complete, and
budget used. Also, monitor excessive work in
progress, receivables, work in hand
inventory, non-billable hours,
vacation/sick/comp time accumulated and
taken, and much more.
BillQuick Audit Log
Now easily view changes to your company
database, including who, when (date/time)
and what action was taken. View all changes,
or view by user, module, or type of action.
An excellent tool for office managers,
principals and your accountant. And yes,
BillQuick 2006 security does prevent
unauthorized users from turning the audit
log off.
Simpler and faster
to adapt BillQuick to your firm. Click

New
International Features
- Support for multi-currency includes a
user-defined conversion table, currency
symbols, decimal, and separators. BillQuick
saves applied conversion rates with the
invoice, ensuring the same conversion rate
is used when recording payments. BillQuick
also automatically adjusts field masks and
labels to your country when you select U.S.,
Canada, Australia, or United Kingdom in the
BillQuick Interview Wizard.

Auto
Complete
- Save time entering memos with the new Auto
Complete feature. Instantly, your company
shorthand codes explode into phrases,
sentences, paragraphs and pages for time,
expense and invoice memos. And you can use
Batch Change to duplicate a memo written
with the Auto Complete feature to a few,
dozens or even hundreds of time and expense
memos or invoice memos. Of course, memos can
be edited, formatted and spell-checked after
using Auto Complete.

Improved User License Management
- With the New Product Licensing and User
Management Console, you can manage licenses
for all BillQuick Family products on a
single screen. View the number of licenses
for each product, how many have been
assigned to users, how many are available,
and how many users are logged in. With a
click, you can assign/un-assign authorized
users for BillQuick or any BillQuick Family
add-on module.
New Shortcuts
to Save Time
include improved keyboard efficiency. Now do
what works for you – use a mouse, keyboard
only, or a combination of both. Keyboard
improvements include Down Arrow to open
drop-down lists, Ctrl-Tab to move among
windows, defacto standard shortcut keys for
menu items, action button accelerator keys
(e.g. Alt-S to Save a master record), and
more.
More special features
including enhanced and expanded How Do I
links – multiple, task-specific, how-to
items with step-by-step instructions.
Projects
New Invoice Tree
makes picking an invoice format easier. The
Tree organizes invoice formats into
categories: Fixed Fee, Hourly, Joint,
Phased, and Manual.

Project Phases
now asks if changes to the Main Project
should ripple to Project Phases. Phases now
default to the same Service Fee Schedule and
Expense Fee Schedule as the main project.
Budgets
and Estimates – click to create a new
estimate from a budget. Email a Estimates
Details Report to a client as a PDF
attachment.
Time and Expense
Entry

Submit-Approve Workflow
– Now more robust, timekeepers can submit
time and expenses for approval to a Client
Manager, Project Manager, ‘My Manager’
(employee manager), or to a specific person.
Timekeepers can also Un-Submit entries.
Reviewers can send entries to the next
person in an approval chain, as well as
Approve or Reject entries. Submit status
visually shows Approved, Submitted, Not
Submitted, Rejected, and other submission
statuses.

Auto-Start Timer:
- Save clicks with BillQuick Timer 2006 –
New Auto-Start Timer automatically starts
the stopwatch when you launch a timer. New
Timer Reminder chimes to remind you the
timer is running. And the enhanced memo pad
now optionally displays at the bottom of the
timer screen, letting you quickly add notes.
Many Time-Saving Time and Expense Entry
Enhancements – Negative Hours to correct an error in a previous time
record that ensures a complete audit trail.
Reduce date errors by setting past and
future date ranges. Auto-enter activity,
expense and project IDs. Copy-and-paste
entries to another employee or an employee
group. Much more.
Billing

New Invoice Wizard
and the Enhanced Phased Project Wizard helps
you immediately accomplish billing tasks.
Create a draft or final invoice, and save or
print the invoice immediately.
Bill by Client Manager or Contract Type
(billing arrangement). Write-up/down time
entry amount (or adjust them by percentage).
Apply project and client retainers to bill
amounts with a click. Batch Change billing
records –starting invoice number, invoice
date, one or two memos (including use of
Auto Complete abbreviations for faster
editing), and more for a few or hundreds of
billing records.

Invoice Features
– Change Invoice Dates on unposted invoices
to ensure proper A/R aging. Save invoices as
PDFs in shared folder or individual client

– Posted invoices on the Invoice Review
screen are now Blue and un-posted ones are
Black.
Retainer History

New
Create Retainer Invoice screen.
Create retainer invoices for a client,
project, or a group at one time. Add memos
to retainer invoices. Print, email, save as
PDFs, and re-print retainer invoices.
Accounts Receivable and Payments
Run Aging Reports As Of a certain
date or let BillQuick display your Monthly
Aging on the Company Navigator.
On the Payments screen, apply a Lump Sum
Payment to specific multiple invoices
with click.
New Credit Memo screen
– create, view and print credit memos,
modify credit payment details, and more.
Credit memos accurately synchronize with
QuickBooks, Microsoft Small Business
Accounting, Peachtree Accounting, and MYOB
Australia.
Reports

BillQuick now integrates
with MYOB Australia.
Support
for QuickBooks Sub-Jobs – automatically
created in BillQuick during synchronization.
Now
an expense entered in BillQuick’s Expense
Log transfers to SBA as a Vendor Bill to be
paid. Also, more integration filters
available.

more filters available for initial and
normal synchronization.
