NEW! BillQuick<-->QuickBooks Online Integration

Are you a road warrior racing across the planet with BillQuick on your laptop and want to update your financial files securely? Or do you simply use QuickBooks Online in your firm and want BillQuick to integrate?

Whatever your reason, BillQuick<-->QuickBooks Online integration is now available.

That’s right, BillQuickers, the new BillQuick<-->QuickBooks Online integration is absolutely free. (A donation to your favorite charity is encouraged.) The new feature will be available in the next BillQuick update.

To use the BillQuick<-->QuickBooks Online integration, you need an Internet connection (of course). Because of QuickBooks Online connection rules (timeouts, sign-in codes, etc.), the integration process supports only On-Demand Synchronization. Also, QuickBooks Online cannot handle BillQuick Expense Codes, so expenses entered into BillQuick will not transfer to QuickBooks Online. However, BillQuick can pull bills and checks from QuickBooks Online into BillQuick’s Expense Log.

As you can see, BillQuick walks you through the simple 5-step synchronization process.

Just follow the steps.

QuickBooks Online requires a connection key for security.

Once you have the key and complete the connection setup interview, you would (optionally) review your synchronization settings in BillQuick. Integration with QuickBooks Online uses the same settings defined for synchronization with QuickBooks on a PC. Through the Sync Settings screen, all you do is define what data to synchronize, what financial accounts to update with BillQuick data, and so on. After this, you can send or get data from your QuickBooks Online database.

The new BillQuick<-->QuickBooks Online function will be released by the end of the week (Friday, October 15th). It will be available for download from the support download page on our web site.

The Remote Sale

Announcing the new Timeslips-to-BillQuick Conversion Utility.

Responding to increasing market demand for less costly conversion to BillQuick, BQE Software developed this conversion utility. Let your Timeslips-using peers know that the fear of countless non-billable hours setting up a new application is no more. They should check out BillQuick.

BillQuick's new tool converts virtually all data in a Timeslips database. Data type and similar differences are intelligently handled by the program. The Timeslips-to-BillQuick Conversion Utility will convert:

• Clients
• Employees
• Activity Codes (Service Codes)
• Expense Codes
• Time Entries
• Expense Entries
• InvoicesPayments

Because Timeslips does not directly support projects (engagements, jobs), the conversion tool makes all clients into projects. This ensures that invoices, payments, etc. brought in from Timeslips process and report properly. Also, the Timeslips Conversion Utility allows you to map unique data in Timeslips to specific fields in BillQuick. For example, Timeslips client telephone #4 field may be the client's primary number and should be put in BillQuick's client telephone #1 field. Current BillQuick Release Information

The latest version of BillQuick 2004 is 5.0.82.

The latest versions of BillQuick add-on modules are listed below.
 

If you have Internet access but do not allow BillQuick to automatically download updates (you turned off AutoUpdate in Preferences-Other 2), first turn on the AutoUpdate feature, then select Get Updates from the File menu. If you wish to check out the changes made in the latest version, view the log before downloading. When Get Updates is done, exit BillQuick. When prompted to install the update, click Yes.

If you have a large number of computers to update, or you prefer to download the update from the BillQuick web site, click here and select Save when prompted. Next, run the setup program from the folder in which it was saved. To view the latest update log, click here.
